I’ve just come back from South africa using the phone very little and have received a large bill. I’m going back there next month. How do I keep the cost slow for minimal usage of my mobile

I would get a local sim card for local data and calling, if you must use your o2 sim, then turn off roaming, and avoid making phone calls or sending any sms, as soon as you do you will be charged £6 per day...
