Sim swap

Anonymous

I phoned yesterday to swap my sim, keeping my old number going onto a pay monthly contract. I was informed it could take up to 24hrs. I've tried turning off and on my phone and removing and replacing the sim. Still no joy. My phone is an iphone4s. What do I do now?

Call CS from your son's phone and ask them to put it through again.

Are you staying with o2 and going from payg to contract?

Or are you changing the size of sim because you have changed handsets?

If the old sim has lost service to indicate the sim swap has started ,then you could try ->

On the iPhone hold down the Sleep/Wake Button and Home button together until the Apple Logo shows. Then On seeing this Apple Logo release both buttons ,and the iPhone will reset , which has been known to clear most glitches.

Other options are :

Settings -> General -> Reset -> Reset Network Settings.
