Hello I'm recently just joined O2 and when I'm sending a text to a friend who lives in the Netherlands he's receiving the text from a random number. My number isn't coming up. A completely different number is coming up every time I text him. The random numbers change every time. My friend has an iPhone 11 and I have a Samsung galaxy s20. When I call him my correct number comes up it's only when texting that the random numbers pop up.

Have you brought in a number from another network?
It does take a few days to catch up if so.

@Chris73

Sounds likely to be a problem with the way your friends network is handling the sms.

They pass through different gateways on route and can get corrupted on the way.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
