Hi I just received a call from someone called Jordan who was claiming that there were a lot of people in the area not happy with network coverage and asking if I wanted 40 percent off my bills. How do I know if this was legitimate?

he did not know my name but asked me to verify my email address

100% a scam, as they want access to your o2 account, by first getting into your email account, then reseting your passwords

Report them to 7726 and follow these guides  Phishing, Smishing & Scams. Latest info & advice.
