Cannot take pics on my mobile. I am getting a message No memory card inserted. Do I need to buy a memory card

Yes, some phones do force saving of photos to an ext sd card, esp ones like the Ace with small internal memory.
It wouldn't take too many photos to fill it up completely and render the phone useless for anything else.
