Are you sure the sim is seated correctly?

Are you sure the phone you are inserting it into is unlocked and working with other sims?

If you are a new customer or come from another network , It can take a few hours for the service to come live.

Keep turning your phone off and on to reboot the service.

Phone 02 on 202 contract or 4445 payg to ensure your account is showing ok.

That would not stop the phone from detecting the sim! slight_frown

In what bracket of opinion would you put as not detecting !

I also see not detecting as a 'no service' showing in the phones status bar as well as the phone showing as no sim inserted.

Re-read what you have just written Bob.

We can only go by what the OP says, and the phone is not seeing the sim.

If that's the case it could be in the phone for the next ten years and nothing will happen.

Either the sim is faulty or it's in the phone wrongly.

If the OP meant to say they're seeing "no service" they will come back and say so.

You can't put words into people's mouths for them.
