SIM-only £5 application credit check denied!

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi, so I've been with EE for like a year and a half and wanted to jump into o2 for only 5gbp per month (10GB data, so same as I had with EE), but after creditcheck screen I got a message on screen saying I was denied.
Checked up with Experian and even made an Equifax account trying to understand what had gone wrong. Everything appears to be perfectly in order, I haven't even had no hard credit searches since I got that EE deal, so over 1.5 years now...
Is there any communications phone/e-mail I can try to get this sorted? What I really don't want is to retry now and get 2 hard searches without even getting the new SIM. The only thing I can think about is that I used credit card for identity verification, maybe should have gone with a debit card, literally cannot think of any other reasons.

No point in trying any more.

If the computer says no, that's the end of it.

Stick with EE.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
