Has anyone travelled to Russia with O2? Looking at the website it seems ridiculously expensive, you can go to some very obscure places and receive better rates than what you can in what is a European Country. £120 for 200mb over the course of a month? £2 per minute and £7.20 per mb. Any help and advice appreciated, I’m going for the World Cup so expect to be there for a decent amount of time, dreading the bill.

Unfortunately it's not in the EU so those are the rates that O2 charge for the rest of the world.
A local sim card if the exist to buy or just use wifi apps for communication are the cheaper alternatives.
Links to international prices that you already know http://international.o2.co.uk/internationaltariffs/travelling_abroad and getting your phoe unlocked to use a local sim if possible https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Other-Products-and-Services/Unlocking-an-O2-phone-to-use-a-different-S...

Thankfully they've decided that England are allowed to play now. Personally I would have preferred all the EU teams to boycott the tournament a or for the gutless FIFA to move the whole thing to a country who could stage it at short notice er England, Germany or Spain. Far too late for them to call a meeting and make a decision now though so at least that won't stop you enjoying what Russia has to offer. I was only on a weeks visit but try and fit in St.Petersburg. It's a beautiful city and I far preferred it to the somewhat unfriendly Moscow.
