Problems With O2 and Topcashback

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi There,

Has anyone else had problems with O2/Topcashback?

I signed up for a deal back in Novemeber which promised £115 cashback. To date nothing has been forthcoming. I have contacted Topcashback numerous time who just keep saying it's O2s fault as they haven't been paid by them.

After over 23 weeks waiting I now feel that I was mis-sold my contract by O2 and Topcashback and can't seem to get any closer to receiving the cash!

Just wondered if anyone else had any issues or any advice?

Thanks.

I can only suggest CS and a formal complaint, if you are sure that you met the offer criteria.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Did the deal show as tracked on the topcashback site?

As per the t&c's at TopCashBack you are not able to approach o2 directly about cash back.

Cash back is usually paid several months after the transaction is entered into. Some pay out after as little as a month, some take up to 9 months.

Has your cash back been declined or is it still pending?

If declined then top cash back can liaise with o2 to find it why.

If pending then that is normal as per above.

I use Quidco from time to time and the same happens there.

With any topcashback deal it's always a good idea to keep screen shots etc - sometimes the deals don't track successfully but if you can provide evidence that the deal was done through topcashback they normally can sort it out in the end.

Unfortunately you have no recourse with o2,it's topcashback you need to approach with this. In a rare instance o2 haven't actually done anything wrong.

Exactly that the issue is with topcashback - you have to chase this through them, with supporting evidence if possible - if the deal didn't track and you can't prove otherwise you are pretty much on to loser here, however, sometimes, as other posters have mentioned, it can take months and months for deals to come through.

@Anonymous I did read it and also the first two replies which advised to contact o2 about it, hence me reaffirming that the OP needs to speak with topcashback. Thanks for your input though 👍
