Well I am disgusted!
Yes I and the rest of the world know about the extortionate increases most providers are applying this month, however ...

I recently joined O2, on the 1st March 2023.
For broadband and TV I have been with Virgin Media for many years, the prices keep going up every year of course, and they told me it would increase again from April to DOUBLE what a new customer pays for TWICE my broadband speed and TV package, so I was paying FOUR times as much!
I managed to haggle and got my contract reduced to 50%, and as part of that I agreed to move my mobile contract from PlusNet to O2.
I was paying just over £6 per month, the new one with O2 was £5, with 4 times the data (I am a very low usage mobile user, never get anywhere close to the data/text/call limits).
I specifically asked the Virgin Media sales person about the increases and was told that they would NOT apply to my VM or O2 bills this year, but they would apply as expected next year.
And true to their word my new Virgin Media has NOT increased, it is the new price that was negotiated.
Note everything was arranged through Virgin Media, I did not contact or order anything myself from O2.
However my O2 bill has increased in April from £5.00 to £5.86, even though I was specifically told that it would NOT increase this year!
That is not what I would call great customer service, and not a good start.

@RazziB16

Your O2 contract should not increase this year as per the terms of your agreement.

Looks like you should contact customer service as they can help with that – message them on Social Media if that works best for you -on Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) or call on 202 or 0344 809 0202

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)
