Hey all

In February just before covid broke out, I smashed the screen on my new Note 10+ at the gym. Since then I've been paying the bill for my contract on time each month but haven't used a single byte, text, or minute because the handset is essentially borked and I have to get it repaired. Covid has made this difficult because repair places have all been shut.

Do you think O2 will refund me the sim charges (not the handset portion of course) so I can afford to have it repaired? I've essentially been giving them money for nothing. I guess it sounds like a gym refunding you even when you don't go but as I've been with O2 for over 15 years and never missed a payment maybe that will help ?

Thanks to anyone who replies.

I very much doubt O2 will refund you anything. They will claim it's not their fault the screen was broken. Have you got insurance?

However, I'll give you the numbers to contact O2. You can ask them yourself.

No insurance.

I guess the best I can do is give the a call and appeal to their better nature.

Thanks for the numbers.

You can put your sim in any phone to continu using your tariff.

Any old phones lying around or borrow one off someone?

Even a cheap one from Amazon, Tesco, Argos etc.......

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

I'm fortunate in that the company I work for pays for a mobile phone contract so I don't need to do that, thankfully.

It's just that the handset I'm using is a Galaxy J5 2016 and it's painfully, painfully slow after four years of use.
