Thinking of upgrading my phone as I'm due an upgrade and wanted to try a foldable.
When looking at the pixel fold I was given the option of adding o2 insurance for £9 a month. Is this good to have? I've tried looking through the terms to see what's covered under folding phones but I can only find what's covered in generic standard phones.
Is it worth purchasing insurance with O2 as folding phones are more prone to damage than standard ones? Are o2 good with repairs or do they just send it to Google direct for repairs?
I will already have standard manufacturer warranty with Google for 2 years I believe so not sure if it's best I take out another insurance with O2 too or is the standard manufacturer one enough for the time being?
Thanks

@jamieleewv1 There are many ways to insure your mobile. O2's insurance may not be the best. If you have homeowner's insurance check if phones are covered. Many banks also do mobile insurance. Use Google as well and shop around before you decide.

Make sure you have insurance, as foldable and flip phone repair costs when deemed to be accidental damage are crazy, think £500 for a screen for a Z Flip 5
Foldables aren't more prone to damage, and most places have never seen one in for warrranty repair, but they are more prone to accidental damage..
I had the Pixel Fold and the Z Folds and never had an issue, but I always have insurance
