Overdue payment on credit file two months after payment was made

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone could offer some helpful input on this.

So I recently closed my account with O2, and I understand that there was a 10 pound final bill to settle. Unfortunately, after I missed the payment date for one day, I was not able to pay for it anymore before it was transferred to a debt collection agency. This has resulted in a negative impact on my credit report.

As soon as I was given the choice by the agency, I immediately cleared the outstanding balance on September 28. However, I was aware that it is still on my credit report showing I am missing the payment until November.

I then messaged credit file referral team again and they requested me to redo the payment in early November. So I did it, but today they contacted me saying that they still see my payment was overdue today, and requested me to contact the payment team again.

Is there anyway to solve this?

Thanks!

Thank you! So unfortunately the number request me to give them my old phone number. I do not have it and as I cancelled the account there is no where to find it.

Any advice on that?

If you can't remember it yourself, did you perhaps give it out to someone who may have it saved?

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

If you cannot contact O2, an alternative might be to contact the debt collection agency.

Who did you actually pay your money to ?

You post suggests to me that you might have paid the agency but they have overlooked the need to tell O2 that they have successfully collected the debt.
