Run a test, but the O2 Coverage checker says it's good:

http://status.o2.co.uk/

Put your postcode in here.

It is only an indication so best advice is to get an o2 payg sim and try the service out where you are to double check.

Thats if your handset is unlocked, if not either get it unlocked or possibly borrow a mates handset !

Defiantly get a payg sim or use someone else's O2 phone the coverage checker tends to say all is good but you don't always get signal as expected

Trouble is that checker says I should get good 4g indoors but I don't so not always accurate I know it does depend on building construction etc

Agreed but Chester is a large town has has blanket coverage, so it should be ok.

Definaltley this.

Signing up to a possible 2 Year Contract is a long term commitment so one has to ensure signal is strong but not hope that it should be Ok.

do not go with O2 if you live in Chester. Ever since sign up.. no data in city centre.. no voice or data in Saughall... no voice in Saltney... bad customer serivce. cancelling contract without penalty now. Very disaapointed.
