I’m changing from PAYG to PAYM but keeping my old number. I lost signal on the PAYG sim so swapped to the new PAYM sim and changed the number in my iPhone settings to my previous number as the advisor told me to do so. But now my iMessage won’t work/activate? Anyone know how to fix this?

First thing to try is to reset your network settings.

If it still fails after that, you need to get a new blank sim from O2 and do a sim swap Guide: Sim Swap: a mini guide 2017 update or pop in store for them to do it for you.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

See if anything in here helps, @chelsdunc - if not, then a call to O2 will be needed.

Good luck!
