No 3G or 4G signal in busy areas

I have an Iphone 13 Max Pro on an unlimited tariff.  Whenever I am in a city centre with a lot of people or at a concert or gig with large numbers of people I have no service either 3G or 4G so I can't get in touch with anyone by text, voice or Whatsapp.  It's very frustrating to paying so much money for a phone and contract which doesn't even work if its a bit busy!  I've already reset the carrier settings.

The rest of the family are on O2 and have service when I don't.

@Mazcross

I'd start with a new sim.

Pop into your local O2 store for a free sim swap.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

Many things can cause a slow down in allotted bandwidth. The more congested your local cell tower is, the least chance you have of achieving the speeds of your contract.

I find at times it is where you are not the network per se. The fallback to a lesser band and reduced speed at least keeps your connection alive.

I get 3g and h+ in some parts of my flat and outside mostly 4g for the best part
