New sim retaining old number

Recently got new I phone SE, requested new sim card for it  with transfer of O2 old number. Sim arrived so phoned and spoke to someone on Thursday 1st Dec about transferring old number to new phone. Was told it would be completed & number transfer take place within approximately 24 hours. It’s now Monday 4th Dec and still waiting  for transfer to happen,new sim is activated. Have I missed something & there is something I should be doing or is it a technical issue with O2. 
New Sim with new number (REMOVED), old number to be transferred (REMOVED)

Please help,have been poorly all weekend & it’s stressing me out now.

We’re just customers like you but it sounds like you’ll need someone to access your account which can’t be done from here. If you message O2 on Facebook ( , Twitter ( or Instagram ( , they should be able to help you with this
