Hi ive just got a new contract phone from 02 and thay say its faulty but want me to sign a new contract before they will give me a replacement phone is this correct

You don't have to nor should you.
The phone is faulty so o2 have to replace it with a brand new one, not secondhand, not a refurb.
Call cs on 202 and ask them to arrange a doorstep exchange for you.

If you bought it in store, yes, you have to sign a contract but they should also replace phone with a brand new one on the spot.

I got the phone online its only 2 days old but before they send s replacement i have to send it back and reapply for a new contract with a new phone

I have a contract with them but they are saying i have to reapply for a contract to get ghe faulty pbone replaced
