New phone & sim but still cannot use phone number

Does anybody else get through to customer services and are told your sim will be working within 24 hours yet nothing happens. I was up replying I will no doubt speak with you again tomorrow as you will fail.

Does anybody know how to get my sim and new phone working before I cancel my contract. Had enough now!

If it's an upgrade, you can use your old sim or do a sim swap Guide: Sim Swap: a mini guide 2017 update 

If a new contract, the phone may have a temporary bar on it, so you'll need to call customer service.

When it comes to the reason you are calling stay silent for 15 seconds and you will be taken to the keypad options.
Press 2 for Everything Else
Press 5 for More Options
Press 7 for Anything Else which will put you though to someone.
Say "Upgrade", "Lost/Stolen" or "Fraud" if you have to, to get put through to someone.
8.00am is the best time to call if you can.

Thanks but each time I call they say it will be sorted within 24 hours and nothing happens.

Unfortunately, you need to keep calling.

Ask them specifically to check for a bar on the phone.
