I wonder if someone could assist please.

I am expecting a new phone tomorrow which is 5g (my current one is not). I am aware that I will receive a new sim and will have to do a sim swap.

My question is, should I put my current sim in the new phone first and do the usual iPhone transfer so all my data will be on the new phone and then do the sim swap?

TIA

Yes, that's fine to do it like that.

You need to message from yourr old sim first anyway to start the swap process Guide: Sim Swap: a mini guide 2017 update
