I've just upgraded my Sim only deal, so I get 120 mins/texts and unlimited data in New Zealand and Australia as I'm travelling there for 4 months. Probably a silly question, but O2 do have coverage over there don't they?

Always try to use Wifi and turn voicemail off before you travel....
Charges for Australia here
When in: Calling:
Making calls - per minute | £2.00 |
Receiving calls - per minute | £2.00 |
Sending texts - per message | 50p |
Cost per MB of using data:

And New Zealand is the same...

Please be aware that there is a daily £4.99 charge for those allowances https://www.o2.co.uk/shop/international/using-phone-abroad

You will need O2 travel
If you've got a Pay Monthly sim, text O2TRAVELto 23336. If you've got a Pay As You Go sim, text TRAVELON to 21300.
It can take up to 24 hours for O2 Travel to be applied to your account.
Then the charges will be £4.99 per day even if you use one text..

Thank you, it was the coverage I was questionning, I have upgraded my deal, so I will not be charged. I had the £4.99 a day bolt on before, but I was only there for a couple of weeks and used it very little as I stayed in a place with wi-fi, this time we're travelling around in a camper for 4 months, so won't have that luxury.

Thank you but my SIM deal gives me 120 mins and 120 texts with unlimited data, that is why I upgraded.

Not sure how good the coverage is @Travelquestion as I have never travelled to either country.
You would be better making sure your phone is unlocked, then you could use a local sim if you have problems.

Thanks, my phone is already unlocked, what is why I'm on a SIM only deal. I'd like to stick to o2 if possible, as I'll still be paying a monthly charge wherever I am. Just hope that the coverage isn't too bad there.
