hi all!

I've recently upgraded to a S20 5g and it came with a new sim card.

I've had it for a week now and the sin still hasn't registered. I'm using my old 4g sim card to get by. The new sim is in my old S9 and I'm turning it on at regular intervals to see if its registered.

I keep getting an error saying something like "not registered for voice". I've manually searching for networks but nothing gets found. Just an error message saying "network not foubd".

Has anyone any recommendations or tips for me to try?

Thanks all!

Tom.

@zenith You would have to do a sim swap, but it's not advisable during the current crisis. There have been problems. Here is a link to use when things settle down, or you can go in store when they reopen and they will swap it for you.

You need to do a sim swap @zenith

Guide: Sim Swap: a mini guide 2017 update

If you have already done this it is a matter of waiting until the old sim loses comnnection. That eans the process has started.

Hello @jonsie thank you for your reply.

I've tried going through the sim swap menu but it asks for the number of the new sim which I haven't got. I've checked the app, contacts, the sim holder and through the settings of the phone. Even when I sign in to the app, it shows my current number.

It's definitely thrown me!

Thanks again.
