My contract ends soon, but my monthly plan will apparently remain the same??

I just received a text from O2 to remind me that my contract ends at the end of May, but (in direct contradiction to what I thought) it says my monthly plan will "remain at £35.79" - which is (roughly) the amount I've been paying for two years.

That was always paying for the phone as well as the tariff. Why then, when I have reached the end of my contract and the phone is paid off, is my monthly plan the same and not reduced considerably??

@MikeTheActorMan standard contracts don't reduce, only refresh ones.

You will need to upgrade to a SIM only tariff if you want to keep your phone and pay less.

Guide: How does O2 Refresh work?

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
