I have keyed ##002# as advised in this forum but it didn't correct the problem

To just turn off voicemail you dial 1760.

Thank you MI5. It is a solution that is not perfect because then if I can't answer the phone my calls won't go to voicemail but I keyed 1760 then 1750 to turn it back on and it fixed the bug
