I tried to port my UK number to O2 pay monthly sim only contract online then instore.

The UK credit card was registered at my overseas address, and this seems to have caused the check to fail.

I have moved the card back to my UK address of more than three years.
The O2 deal Im after is really interesting as Im also a Virgin customer at that address.

Im a bit reluctant to try again as I was told the check is a "hard" credit check.

Any insights?

You would have failed purely because your card was registered to an overseas address.

Now it's been moved to a UK address and if it's a UK card (Most important) then you should have no problems

You should contact the sales team as they can help you with that – message them on Social Media  -on Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter ( https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG)

Or you can call them on 0800 081 0255
