On my last bill iwas charged £1-30 for messages ?? I have unlimited messages on my tarrif ??

They may have been MMS, see here: Guide: Accidental MMS Sending and How to Avoid it 

Or SMS to a none-UK number.

Your next O2 bill in your myo2 will explain what it is - Guide: How do I get to the 'Download Bill' page? 

PS. MMS Message can arise if you send a pic, an emoji or a URL in an SMS. Use WhatsApp for that, both phones will need to install the free app, @Davycrocket.

@Davycrocket To add to the advice from @pgn, if you want to send pictures or emojis using WhatsApp, you need to be on WiFi if you want to send them for free. Otherwise it will use your data connection.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2
