O2 wrote to me to tell me my tariff was changing to a cheaper one, which was more than I was paying. (I have a £10 loyalty discount and have done for many years, taking it from tariff to tariff.) I called and was assured that the letter and text did not take the discount into account but my discount remained in place and would be deducted from the tariff. I asked to see other contracts but was told that I could only swap when my contract was up and could then take my loyalty discount with me. Since then, the full whack of the new more expensive tariff has been taken from my account. Also, I have not received any communication in regard to the status of my discount so it cannot have been removed on purpose? I’m fed up calling and being cut off or talking to people trying to fit me into criteria instead of listening to my issue. I want my account refunded and the option to allow me to look to tarrifs where I can take my discount. I won’t be talked out of the discount. It’s my bargaining chip. I don’t care if another tariff is 50p cheaper without it. If I don’t have it, I can get much much cheaper contracts elsewhere. Who can I send this query to by email where they have authority to deal with all of my issues?

There is no email support at all no @LADYTATTYHEAD

I'm surprised that you were able to take youe discount from tariff to tariff

Discounts (including loyalty discounts) have to normally be reapplied for when a tariff changes

All you can do is to call O2.

All numbers are in this guide

You can use Skype from your PC or phone to call the free numbers if you have no phone available

Guide: Coronavirus Community Help and Support

Advice from an O2 Guru regarding a way to get through:

When you call, you will be asked for the reason you are calling,

Stay silent for 15 seconds and you will be taken to the keypad options.

Press 2 for Everything Else

Press 5 for More Options

Press 7 for Anything Else which will put you though to an advisor.

Press Upgrade, Lost/Stolen or Fraud if you have to.

8am is the best time to call
