Last week I got an Ipad on contract with the number I had on my iphone and I’m paying monthly for it and when I did the upgrade I said I didn’t need a new sim card for it but it looks like since I got my ipad I can’t make any phone calls or receive any phone calls on my phone anymore. Everytime I try it says Call failed. Why is that happening? I need help please. Thank you

@Mina97

You cant use the iPad to make phone calls.

You should have got a new contract and not upgraded to the iPad as such your phone calling ability has been removed from the contract.

The only options you have are 1.  Return the upgrade an revert to a iPhone contract or 2. Get a new contract with a new number with a phone.

You will need to contact customer services, and arrange to return the iPad and discuss the options.

You can call them in the morning on 0344 809 0202
when it comes to the reason you are calling, stay silent for 15 seconds and you will be taken to the keypad options.
Press 2 for Everything Else

Press 5 for More Options
Press 7 for Anything Else which will put you though to someone

The things is that I don’t want to return the ipad. I still want to keep it. Can they not swap my iPad contract on another phone number and set my actual phone number for an Iphone. I use this phone number everywhere at work and it’s hard now that I can’t get or make any phone calls. Thank you

Not usually, but best thing to do is ask them.

You will need to take out a new Sim only contract as well in order to use the phone, and that will come with a new phone number.

The only way to get your number back on your phone is to pay off the iPad and transfer your number back to the phone on a new sim only tariff.
