I am being charged for O2 Travel even though my data roaming is OFF! Why is this?

Can some one help me? I very rarely use my phone abroad. Last month while in the USA I switched my phone on. Data roaming was already off. I always make sure it is off before I switch my phone off each time so I don’t get charged the £5, except I DID get charged! Why would this be? It’s driving me nuts as is not the first time.

@Bee99

Did you make any calls or send texts?

What did you do with your phone when it was on?

Do you have wifi assist turned on?

If you contact O2 they will tell you what exactly has triggered the daily charge.

If you message O2 on Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) , they should be able to help you with this.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
