Take a look at this faq which explains how to stop these charges and to go about getting a refund.

 

To prevent being caught out again by scam 3rd party charges you need to ask for a "charge to mobile" bar (not a premium rate bar - this doesn't prevent these charges, but is useful and will protect you from accidentally sending premium rate texts).

 

All consumers should ask for a "charge to mobile" bar. O2 are not an FCA regulated payment processor and aren't required to help when you have a problem. Always use credit/debit card, Paypal or any other regulated payment method to pay for services. That way you can get help when you receive unexpected charges.
