Free texts abroad?

Hi,
I went to spain last year and I found that when I sent a text it ended up using 4 of my allotted texts fromy allowance instead of charging me for it. I have an iphone4 with unlimited texts and am going to Portugal tomorrow. Is this still the case? Do I have unlimited texts abroad?

No, be careful.


You may also want to check out the roaming data bug reported in the early days of the iOS4 release. It may have been fixed with 4.0.1, I am unsure.

As far as i know data bug is in 4.0.1

And with unlimited texts you lost the 4-1 from abroad

According to other posters and the press not just 4.0.1 but all versions since 3.0

I got back from Tunisia last week. I was running OS 4.0 whilst out there and the Data Roaming switched to off was fine - no unexpected charges. 4 - 1 texts whilst out there too.
