I've received a message stating that O2 were unable to process my latest payment and asking me to click a link to avoid feed etc.
I knew immediately that this is fraud as a) I am paid up to date and b) I logged into O2 separately and checked that all was indeed well.
I would like to report this to them but speaking to a person seems.... hard.
I cant find answer I can just forward screen shots to or report the number.
Can anyone offer any help?
Thanks.

It's a well known scam.

Block the number and do not follow any links.

Forward the scam text to 7726 - It's free.

No you will be fine. It's only a worry if any details such as bank info was given.

I too had a message about an unsuccessful attempt to pay my bill.
+44 7494 640559 is the number that it came from. As I pay monthly and my invoice isn’t due yet, I immediately knew it was a scam. I’ve blocked the number, and sent a suitable response!

Never reply to the number sending the spam message as this shows your number is active and may be liable for further Smishing and Phishing attempts.

Always follow the advice given to report the texts to o2..
- Xperia 1V - o2 and Spusu
- Pixel 8 Pro - o2 and Vodafone UK
