Hi, I got a new pixl 6 phone/SIM yesterday and tried to send a text this morning and it came up Error 42.  Hubby tried to send me a text too and not received that.

 

Checked the smsc number and that seems correct, tried to see if there are any network problems - nothing unusual,  it's a brand new SIM - so can't be that, nothing looks disabled but not sure I'm checking in the right places

 

Any ideas/help much appreciated?

Is this a new contract or an upgrade?

If an upgrade, did you activate the sim Guide: Sim Swap: a mini guide 2017 update 

Are calls working OK?
