I've yet again gone over my 1GB data allowance with two weeks to go. I really begrudge paying for any extra but the throttled speed is pants.
My question is - how accurate is O2's data usage? My iphone recorded mobile data used and it's far less than the 1gb reported by O2. Do i have a leg to stand on if i report this to customer service?

If you believe it is consistently incorrect then Customer Services can have a network investigation done, which usually takes about 5 working days to get back.
In my experience, I've never seen any of them come back saying the data usage was incorrect.
If you are adamant then you could try it?
Or if you have an iPhone download a 3rd Party App called Onavo which is good for measuring it for you?
