Hi,  two days ago I drove from Spain to France having had regular “welcome to Spain, use your phone as you were at home” etc.  I have an unlimited plan.

I cant find out why as soon as I came to France there was no cellular connection and no text warnings. Can anyone help? Many thanks

Surely an automatic network setting will mean it automatically searches for a new network when it loses connection with a previous one (rhetorical question).

I can only guess but, as you are on unlimited data, you are restricted to 25gb in the eurozone before extra charges occur. If you have a send cap, the charges can't be applied, so the data stops.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

Have you tried to do a manual network search as the phone if in Automatic will still be looking for the Spanish Network

- Xperia 1V - o2 and Spusu
- Pixel 8 Pro - o2 and Vodafone UK
