Coverage checker says 4G good indoors and out, it lies!!

Anonymous
Not applicable

SK12 area, tried calling 202 from mobile about a website problem, call dropped! We're allegedly in a full 4G area, but get barely any signal indoors, never mind 4G! If anything it's worse since a recent service 'upgrade'! Is this just me?

When it works, the 4G signal is rapid, but it seems very intermittent and weak. Any clues?

@Anonymous Try switching your phone to 2G or 3G for calls. 4G is for data. Just because the coverage checker says your area is good doesn't mean that it's good everywhere. Many things can affect call quality, including the building you're in. The coverage checker is just a general take on the area you're located.

If call signal is flaky, switch to 2g (GSM) only as this will improve the signal most of the time.
