Charges for using phone/data abroad

On a trip outside the EuroZone (Ukraine) recently I needed to use my phone. I'd previously added the O2 Travel bolt on a couple of years ago, when I ended up with a large bill after using my phone in the States. I assumed the £4.99 per day charge would cover this trip, but I've ended up with a charge of £45.33 for using the phone abroad.

Is this correct?

It’s £4.99 a day so depending on how many days you used the phone then the charge maybe correct.

Hi @Jay_Sue

Look in your MyO2 and see what the charges are for?

It will be explained in the bill breakdown http://www.o2.co.uk/myo2

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Ah, ok guys!

Thanks for the speedy replies.

Although it's saying that the charge would be capped at £40.00 per month whilst abroad. We were only in the Ukraine for 2 days tops.

Ah well, better pay it so we're not cut off!

Data charges are capped at £40 but if you made calls or sent texts they would still be added to the bill.

Well at £7.20/MB for data that's less than 6MB. 'course calls and texts are not included in the data cap. Criminal data charge in my humble opinion!
