I have just spent last month in Australia and had all my mobile data turned off yet I have still been charged £18 but I don’t know what for. On the bill it’s shows no extra costs against any calls texts so am confused. Can you explain these charges

We’re just customers like you but it sounds like you’ll need someone to access your account which can’t be done from here. If you message O2 using the links below, they should be able to help you with this
or give them a call on 202  or 0344 809 0202

3x6 is 18 so I would make a guess that on 3 days your phone connected to the network. Lots of reasons for this.

Not sure what phone you have but iPhones are notorious for connecting in the background.

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

Rebooting your phone might trigger a network connection - registering for iMessage and VVM...
