Cancel an unused extra line

Hi. I've added an extra line to my contract for my daughter to use, following advice from an O2 advisor to save me money. I gave my daughter a phone with the sim card only to find out her mother has already got one for her. There has been no use of the sim card and so can I cancel the sim?
