Hello.
Just wondering if anyone else has had the same problem.
My phone can’t use mobile data at all when not connected to WiFi. 4G or 3G is not working. I can’t send texts or use the internet. I contacted o2 as I established it was a sim problem (I tested the card in other devices) so they sent me a new sim.
New sim arrives and is set up, but still having same issues.
Does anyone know what I can do? There is no issues on the account o2 checked.

Thanks in advance.

Are you on pay monthly or pay as you go?
Pay monthly and it sounds like your account is barred (can you make calls?).
Pay as you go and it sounds like you either have no credit or allowances.

Hi. Yes pay monthly. Can make calls no problem. It only affects internet and iMessage. O2 checked the account. It’s all clear. I’m so confused.
Thanks for your reply.

Ah, so you have an iPhone.
You need to call customer services and ask them to add the iData bolt on to your accout.
Until you do that, change the apn settings to show mobile.co.uk rather than idata.co.uk

Knew it was something like that @jonsie .

Too late to go back and edit now too...

In the UK, data will work without iData bolt on but you won't get visual voicemail or hotspot functions.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)
