Some phones have call blocking features, failing that you can contact O2 Nuisance Calls here:
http://www.o2.co.uk/support/generalhelp ... phonecalls
but unless it's serious and you want to get the police involved they may not be able to do anything.
To support Disasters Emergency Committee: http://www.dec.org.uk/appeals text Nepal to 70000 to send £5

If it is calls from a UK based company offering to sell you stuff then you can opt out of marketing calls by registering here;

If you are using a smart phone there is almost certainly an app for that.
i know my old samsung could do that (a limit of 10 numbners IIRC) i'm sure more modern phones are capable, but we'd have to know what phone you have...

What I do is make a contact called 'DON'T ANSWER' and add any known nuisance callers to that contact - on my iPhone I have 19 phone numbers under this one contact.
I then assign a silent ringtone to the contact so when one of the numbers calls me I am not even aware that they are calling and if my phone is visible and not in my pocket I see 'DON'T ANSWER' on the screen.
