Ive had a text from PCR on (+447537 403067) telling me that they are going to start sending me promotional texts, four a month, that will be chargeable. I should text STOP to stop them. We all know what will happen if I reply in any way and what will happen if I dont - BIG CHARGES.
How can O2 protect me and stop these charges happening?
Thanks

no charges from that type of mobile number only short codes can charge.
Forward the number to 7726 o2 spam reporting line and also report to the ico on this reporting form. https://www.snapsurveys.com/swh/surveylogin.asp?k=133759552332
see this ico page http://www.ico.gov.uk/for_the_public/topic_specific_guides/marketing/texts.aspx
If you do get one from a shortcode look it up here http://www.phonepayplus.org.uk/ and report to them
