Yesterday I tried to take out a contract. I first waited in a queue only to be connected to another customer! Tried again, this time got as far as starting a credit check, got put on hold then got disconnected. I called back and was told someone would call me but I'm still waiting. Is this normal? Should I call back? I don't really want to start from the beginning.

Sounds like the person you where speaking to had IT issues, and they where probably advising this was the best course of action.

I would call back or message them on Social Media if that works best for you -on Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG)

Or you can call them on 0800 081 0255

- Pixel 8 Pro - o2 and Vodafone UK

@Mikelo You can take out a contract online without having to speak to anyone, but if a credit check was started when you were trying yesterday, your attempt might be rejected as too many checks in close proximity to each other. Whether you call or try online you will have to start from the beginning again.

So I could potentially damage my credit score if it's already gone through and I have to do it again? Not brilliant tbh

Login to one of the Credit Websites and see if a check as already been done, as they normally report straight away
