Does anyone know the reason why we cannot pay by automated message anymore? Or know a number that is?

If you want to pay via automated message these are the numbers

Call 2729 from your mobile or ring or 0800 588 4217 from a landline and enter the mobile number you wish to pay.

You can also pay using O2's automated payment line. Call 0844 8090202 or 202 from your O2 mobile and choose option 1.3.

I pay by DD so I don't use any payment lines.....

No nor me....I just wondered if the OP had used the right numbers...so posted the ones that have been appearing all over the forum frequently this last week or so... After checking they were correct..of course..

Perhaps call O2 Customer Services which is 202 for Contract http://www.o2.co.uk/contactus To set up a Direct Debit which will negate the need to use another method.

@MI5  I have just dialled 2729 from my mobile and it worked perfectly...straight through to automated payment line and all the options. So yes it does work.

The OP asked specifically for the numbers for the automated service which I gave (after checking they were working) If they call 2729 from their mobile ...they will be able to pay... using the method they asked for....
