About a week ago I received a SIM card from O2, I thought it was another promotion and simply threw it in the bin as I don't need another service. Today I check my account and see that I have been charged £10 by O2. It has taken me half a day to work out how this happened, I recently renewed my Virgin contract and was put through the wringer for an hour on the phone by a consultant and at some point without my knowledge they added the O2 service as they do work together to some extent. I lost another hour or so in a chat with another consultant trying to cancel this service and he ended up sending me a link to the HELP section on o2. Can anyone give me an effective way of getting rid of an unwanted and fraudulently pushed service?

If you are within 14 days of the account opening you can return the sim

If longer than that you will be liable for any payments

As for being fraudulenty set up then you need to address this issue with Virginmedia
