Hi I have a iPhone 12 Pro and my phone running of 4g how come it’s running on 5g and am in area where there is 5g too

Do you also have a 5g sim?

If not, you need to call O2 to get one and then do a sim swap Guide: Sim Swap: a mini guide 2017 update
