Hi

Just got a new phone (Oppo X5 Pro) and have added a new line to my existing contract. The phone is 5G ready, the sim I was sent is 5g ready according to the pack but I have not seen a 5G signal once in Edinburgh in the last week?

This includes areas where the 5G coverage checker suggests it should be available. It's not the phone as I stuck in a 3 sim and it got 5G coverage in the same area. I have gone through the usual checks, reset the phone etc...checkd that 5g is active on the phone...clearly, this is not a great situation and I still have time to cancel the contract I suppose as 14 days have not elapsed?

Kind regards

@murrayalex

Start by checking if O2 have enabled 5g on your account. It should be the default but anything's possible these days.......

If you message O2 on Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) , they should be able to help you with this.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)
