Hi matt_s

Certainly a conundrum if 4G is not available in your area but that one spot.

Maybe O2 have been testing a local mast for 4G and you were fortunate enough to latch onto it !

Quite possibly so as O2 don't give rollout info.

Keep checking here http://status.o2.co.uk and perhaps let us all know when you do show 4G.

Weirdest thing I have heard re getting the elusive 4G?

In a cinema...enclosed...surrounded by presumably very thick walls.....

You should be careful....everyone could be flocking to that place to get a piece of the action... perish the thought.....

I can just see it now....People paying to see a film and spending their time on their mobiles instead..benefiting from the 'premiere' of 4G in the Bedford area...:smileywink:

Hi

This is one of the disappointing aspects that many users of O2 have expressed.

Other Networks do provide some information on 4G rollout plans , but O2 don't / can't.

I've been using 4G for a while now and the speeds are amazing and make the Internet experience a pleasure. I typically attain 50mbps download speeds.

For many who still cannot attain strong 3G speeds I fully sympathise with the frustration they may be having.

I hope what you've experienced are a sign of the times to come.

If you do run any speed tests to see what your achieving then do take into account they can eat up 40mb of your dara allowance depending sometimes on which test you use.

I checked it weds and there was nothing.

Guessing we may have been onto something with the testing theory!

Everyone has moaned about O2 and how they keep info on rollouts a very close secret...

However @Anonymous  you have now cracked it...with your unlimited cinema ticket...:smileywink:

Seriously it would be interesting to know if you can get 4G next time you go to the cinema?
