Hi all.

My device plan/fixed term is due to be paid off in March. My final bill will be on the 7th and my final direct debit payment will be on the 21st.

I don't want my airtime plan to rollover once the phone has been paid off, so could someone please advise me when I need to give O2 30 days notice from? Should I give notice 30 days before the final billing date, or on that date?

Thanks in advance.

Notice is no longer required.

You can cancel immediately your contract ends.

Oh really? That's brilliant, thanks! Can this be done online, or do I have to phone customer service?

Also, just to clarify - does the fix term end from the final bill or the final payment?

Ends on the bill generation date.

Cannot cancel online, follow the guide or call O2.

Gotcha.

Is there a reason why the "Leaving O2" page says you need to give 30 days notice?

Some contracts still require notice, that is why, but Refresh Plans dont as they end at the end of the device plan

- Xperia 1V - o2 and Spusu
- Pixel 8 Pro - o2 and Vodafone UK

@Patrik-Jay

So O2 can try to con you into paying an extra month when it is now an OFCOM ruling for all phone contracts
