202 not working

When I call from my O2 simplicity mobile I receive a long continuous tone, which appears to indicate that the call cannot be completed

You are Pay Monthly aren't you as that number is not for Pay and Go?

I've just tried and it rings out fine for me, have you tried other numbers?

Yes, other numbers work fine. Doesn't look like I will be upgrading any time soon unless I can resolve this.

Very strange you haven't got some kind of outgoing call blocker on as I've never heard of this before?

It's closed now but check out the other ways to get in touch in Contact us at the bottom of the page.

Unfortunately I object to making a pay call to O2 to obtain assistance on changing tariff.  This and the poor cost effectiveness of the O2 schemes probably mean I will look elsewhere for a provider

I have the same problem. The online chat person did not know the answer to my question so he said I should call 202. I did and just got a continuous tone. Is that because I called from a phone with an O2 payg sim in it?

PAYG number is 4445. You can’t call 202 from a PAYG Phone.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

Thanks. It's a pity you don't work for O2 on their online chat!
